May 15 to 18 MultiLing will be present at the 11th STC Technical Communication Summit in Sacramento, California. STC announces Tim O’Reilly as STC Honorary Fellow and Keynote Speaker at the 2011 Summit. Tim is the CEO and founder of O’Reilly Media, thought by many to be the best computer book publisher in the world.
September 11 to 13 is reserved for the annual IPO meeting, held by the Intellectual Property Owners Association. IPO was established in 1972. It is a trade association for owners of patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. IPO is the only association in the U.S. that serves all intellectual property owners in all industries and all fields of technology. This conference is of particular interest for MultiLing’s patent translation and filing division.
After the important success of the 2009 edition, CHEM-MED, the international event dedicated to the chemical industry, will be back at Milano, Italy from 5 to 7 October 2011. Staff members of MultiLing Italy will attend this event in the heart of Lombardy.
In Germany, the annual tekom conference is clearly the most important event for the translation industry. This year, exhibition and conference will be held October 18 to 20. tekom has been a traditional presentation platform of MultiLing Germany for many years.
The American Translator’s Association (ATA) holds its annual reunion from October 26 to 29 in Boston, Massachusetts. ATA, founded in 1959, is the largest professional association of translators and interpreters in the U.S. with over 11,000 members in more than 90 countries. ATA’s primary goals include fostering and supporting the professional development of translators and interpreters and promoting the translation and interpreting professions. MultiLing will surely not miss this great opportunity.
